Atlanta Falcons running back Steven Jackson has been a fantasy disappointment this season considering his status as a projected early-round pick, but he has played well lately since returning from injury.

Jackson didn't rack up the rushing yards against the Washington Redskins in Week 15 with 38 yards on the ground, but the veteran did score two touchdowns, which meant he had a solid day in fantasy.

Considering the fact that he ran for 71 yards against the Green Bay Packers in Week 14 and two touchdowns against the Buffalo Bills in Week 13, Jackson is performing closer to how he was expected to at the start of the season.

The Falcons play at San Francisco in Week 16 to take on the 49ers, so trusting Jackson going forward against a top-10 defense in the NFL in rushing yards allowed is still a tall order. Nonetheless, his recent run of success is a positive sign for those who have stuck with him.
