Neymar scored both goals as Barcelona beat Villarreal 2-1 on Saturday.

The victory leaves the Catalan giants three points clear of second-place Atletico Madrid, who will face Valencia on Sunday.

Montoya: Proving a useful attacking outlet from the right flank.

Pique: Completed 96% of his passes in the opening frame.

Bartra: Has so far won all of his aerial battles.

Alba: His cross from the left earned the penalty after the ball struck Mario's hand.

Song: Hit the upright from in close in the sixth minute.

Busquets: The metronome of the Barcelona attack.

Iniesta: A rather subdued performance so far.

Alexis: Forced Asenjo into a spectacular save from point-blank range.

Cesc: Not completely comfortable in the forward line.

Neymar: Sent Asenjo the wrong way in converting the penalty.

Full-time analysis

Pinto: Came up big when forced to make his lone save of the night.

Montoya: Got some stick from his teammates for a series of misplaced crosses.

Pique: Made a pair of vital interventions in the final 20 minutes.

Bartra: Lost Musacchio on the corner that led to the Villarreal goal.

Alba: It was his first match in three months, but he looked in mid-season form.

Song: Was replaced by Xavi midway through the second half.

Busquets: Completed an impressive 94% of his passes.

Iniesta: Forced Asenjo into a superb stop with a volley from an Alexis pass.

Alexis: Controlled Cesc's sublime ball before dishing to Neymar for the match-winner.
