Theo Walcott announced to the world that he is back in form with an impressive showing against Manchester City on Matchday 16 of the EPL.

After missing two months with an abdominal injury, the midfielder had been eased back into action with five appearances as a substitute. He performed well with two assists in this stretch, but he still did not have much of an impact in most of the matches.

However, that changed with his first start since September. After Arsenal gave up the opening goal to Sergio Aguero, Walcott came through with an equalizer on a counter-attack.

He received a pass from Mesut Ozil at the edge of the box and put it in a perfect spot to score in the 31st minute.

Walcott followed up the goal by celebrating with a baby pose after it was announced that he and his wife are expecting their first child, according to Gary Jones of the Daily Star.

While Manchester City continued their offensive onslaught to go up 3-1, the English national did his best single-handedly to keep the Gunners in the match.

In the 63rd minute, Aaron Ramsey sent Walcott a pass to the left side of the box. He responded with a beautiful finish hit perfectly into the top-right corner of the net where no goalkeeper in the world could have stopped it.

OptaJoe provided this look at this impressive performance:

Although Arsenal eventually lost 6-3 in a wild match, it does not take away from the strong showing by Walcott when it was needed. He provided an excellent spark to the offense against a quality opponent and showed that he is still among the best players on the roster.

Interestingly, City had only allowed two goals at Etihad Stadium all season, which further showcases the rare effort.

After Walcott finished last season with 14 goals and 10 assists in league play, it is clear Arsenal will have one of the deepest attacks in the EPL going forward.
