Old Big 12 rivals played a great non-conference game in Las Vegas on Saturday night, with No. 7 Oklahoma State pulling out a 78-73 win over No. 20 Colorado at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The Cowboys (11-1) got 23 points from Markel Brown, who also had 11 rebounds while Marcus Smart added 18 despite sitting much of the first half after picking up two early fouls

Colorado (10-2) was led by Josh Scott's 20, while Askia Booker had 19 points and Spencer Dinwiddie had 18.

Oklahoma State led 32-26 at the half, taking advantage of sloppy ballhandling by Colorado. The second half was much more up-tempo, with Colorado using its rebounding acumen to dominate the second-chance points category.

The Buffaloes outrebounded OSU 41-29, making up for shooting 40.6 percent from the field to stay in the game.

OSU led by as many as 12 points in the second half, riding the momentum of 52 percent shooting, though Colorado cut it to within four points in the final two minutes.

The game was the tail end of the inaugural MGM Grand Showcase doubleheader, with New Mexico beating Marquette in the opener.
