Some footballers have tried their hand at pop music over the years, but judging on this effort from Kolo Toure, he might not be the latest in that line.

The Ivory Coast and Liverpool star has put together his own version of a popular terrace chant in this advert for Warrior.

The lyrics, to the tune of 2 Unlimited's "No Limit," are not unduly complex:

"Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo Kolo, Kolo Kolo Toure!"

Then, in a second cut, echoing the Harlem Shake videos which to everyone's relief are now old news, a crew of dancers turn up around him, ranging from a wig-wearing Scouser to a Black Knight.

The chant has become something of a cult hit in recent weeks, with traffic in Newcastle coming to a halt recently as students chanted for Kolo, as reported by The Daily Mail—and then, to the same tune, his brother Yaya.

Kolo has signed a new boot deal with Warrior to wear their Skreamer boot, hence the promotion:

Toure said in quotes picked up by Richard Arrowsmith of the Daily Mail Online:

I believe Liverpool can win the league in the next few years. I know I’m at the right club to achieve my goals and now I feel I’m with the right sportswear brand to help me fulfill those ambitions.

And once you've got the right boot, chanting your own name is the natural next thing to do.
