Chargers Knock Off Broncos 27-20
The Chargers scored touchdowns when they were in the red zone, kept Peyton Manning off of the field and ended up with a 27-20 victory at Mile High.
With the loss, the Broncos are no longer in control of the AFC's No. 1 seed.
San Diego embarked on a 21-0 run which saw them take control of the game with a 24-10 lead in the third quarter. The Broncos would never fully recover.
The Broncos had their worst offensive showing of the season. Denver had season-lows in total yardage (295) and points. It was their first home loss after a 13-game home winning streak.
The Chargers move to 7-7 in the thick of the AFC Wild Card playoff race while the Broncos drop to 11-3. San Diego will face the Oakland Raiders (4-9) at home in Week 16 while Denver will visit Houston to face the Texans (2-11) next week.
