The pay-per-view event stage offers the top World Wrestling Entertainment Superstars a stage like no other for them to shine on.

A great performance on Monday Night Raw or Friday Night SmackDown may carry some weight for a few days or weeks, but a great performance on pay-per-view, where the lights shine brightest, can last forever.

This Sunday night, several of WWE's most talented Superstars will take to the ring for the annual TLC spectacular and have the opportunity to deliver performances that will not only steal the show, but will also go down in the annals of WWE history.

Who are the Superstars capable and in the best position to deliver those performances?

Let's take a look.

John Cena

Like him or not, there are very few performers that match Cena when it comes to high-pressure situations.

In his first Tables, Ladders and Chairs match some seven years ago, the current World Heavyweight champion delivered one of the finest performances of his legendary career against 2012 Hall of Famer Edge in front of the Rated R Superstar's hometown fans.

Sunday night, he will take on one of his greatest opponents, with whom he has tremendous in-ring chemistry, in a TLC match where both heavyweight titles are at stake.

Cena thrives in situations such as the one that awaits him Sunday night.

Regardless of whether he wins or loses the Unified Championship, he will throw caution out the window in an attempt to deliver a match that not only saves a pay-per-view with little else going for it, but also one that lives up to the historical occasion that is the title-unification bout.

Daniel Bryan

Whereas CM Punk will take on three incredibly talented stars in The Shield at TLC, Bryan will take on the less-experienced Wyatt Family in a three-on-one handicap match, enhancing the importance of Bryan's performance in the match.

A less-talented performer would be unable to carry a match of Sunday's type without the crowd becoming disinterested. The fact that Bryan can adapt his style to best suit that of his opponents will only help the quality of the match while his connection with the audience will help to get the storyline over, regardless of how potentially ridiculous it winds up being.

Given the reaction he received Monday night on Raw, Bryan remains as hot as ever. He will be the centerpiece of the match and, as a result, he will be asked to do the most. That will present him with the opportunity to shine bright, maybe brightest, among his fellow stars.

Roman Reigns

As evidenced by his star-making performance at the Survivor Series, Roman Reigns is on the fast track to stardom in World Wrestling Entertainment.

Add to that the dissension that has been teased between The Shield in recent weeks, and all signs point to another eventful pay-per-view showing from the intensity-fueled Superstar.

The fact that he will share the ring with someone as gifted as CM Punk throughout Sunday's match will only add a quality match to what could be a second consecutive breakthrough performance and what should be the latest stage in the impending split of The Shield.

The third-generation Diva will compete in her biggest match in nearly three years when she challenges AJ Lee for the Divas Championship.

Natalya has been underutilized throughout her WWE career but even more so over the last year.

Despite all of the negatives surrounding the Total Divas reality show, the one positive is that it has increased Natalya's role on television and earned her the opportunity to compete in title matches and perform in honest-to-God storylines.

Expect the talented in-ring technician to deliver her finest performance since 2010 and earn the trust and confidence of the company to continue her push in the weeks that follow.
