WTF is Randy Orton’s cousin doing in the WWE? Or is that his brother? Why is The Ultimate Warrior getting a second chance at a DVD series? Has anybody hit the play button on the WrestleMania logo yet?
The Orton family’s wrestling lineage is set to grow as WWE has signed Jasper Orton, cousin of WWE champion Randy Orton. Staying true to the Orton name of this generation, the signing was not without its share of controversy.
According to F4WOnline (via SEScoops), Jasper claimed to be Orton’s brother during an interview, but that was later found to be untrue. As is usually the case in the WWE, the Orton family legacy seemed to trump red flags of family-tree fabrication.
The peace treaty between the Ultimate Warrior and the WWE continues to evolve with a three-disc DVD series on The Warrior confirmed for April of 2014. This will be a far cry from the Self Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior DVD from 2005, and the continued relationship makes a 2014 Hall of Fame induction for the Warrior more likely.
WrestleMania 31 debuted a
boring sleek, bland interactive new logo ahead of its Santa Clara debut in 2015. According to the San Jose Mercury News (via WrestlingInc.com), Vince McMahon promised the event would be the “most interactive experience in WrestleMania history.” Now if somebody would just push that play button.
