This Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling is slated to be one of the most exciting shows of the year, as the company continues its preparation for next week’s TNA Final Resolution free-per-view.

As if the build to the finals of the heavyweight title tournament between Jeff Hardy and Magnus wasn’t enough to get fans excited about the show, the addition of the Feast or Fired match to the schedule will have everyone intrigued about the possible outcomes.

Here is all the vital viewing information for the show and a full preview of what wrestling fans should expect Thursday.

Where: Universal Studios, Orlando, Fla.

When: Thursday, Dec. 12, 9 p.m. ET/PT (Pre-taped)

Watch: Spike TV

Feast Or Fired Returns

For those that have never watched a Feast or Famine match (another name for the "Feast or Fired" contest) or don’t understand the concept, it’s fairly simple. There will be four briefcases hung around the ring that the combatants will battle for. Three of the cases each have one title shot inside (heavyweight, tag team and X Division) and the fourth has a pink slip that results in the wrestler’s termination.

Question on Everybody’s Mind: Which Stars Win the Briefcases?

TNA has formally announced that Samoa Joe, James Storm, Mr. Anderson, Gunner, Chavo Guerrero and Zema Ion will be in the match, according to ImpactWrestling.com, but there will undoubtedly be more participants. The hope is that Samoa Joe gets his deserved world title shot, Gunner gets the tag team title shot while teasing tension with Storm, Zema Ion gets the X Division briefcase and Guerrero is fired. The worst-case scenario is TNA screwing up this angle and infusing the wrong wrestlers into the respective championship hunts.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Changes of Pace

Impact Wrestling hit a lull period heading into Bound for Glory, but has come out flying since. The booking of the shows has been excellent and the hope is that this Feast or Famine match will be another example of the company heading in the right direction. TNA has the chance to make every title scene relevant again, and this is an opportunity that the company can’t squander.

Go-Home Show for Final Resolution

Next Thursday’s episode of Impact Wrestling will actually be called Final Resolution. Formerly a pay-per-view, the free broadcast of the show is part of the company’s new infrastructure. While many fans have complained about TNA’s willingness to give this show away for free, these PPV-quality events will continue to help build the fanbase, especially with the vacant world title on the line.

Question on Everybody’s Mind: Will the Go-Home Show Live Up to the Hype?

Not only will TNA feature Magnus and Hardy heavily in this episode as the company builds to the finals of the tournament, but there will also be plenty of action this week in the ring to get fans excited. Between Dixie Carter’s relentless pursuit of the real TNA world title and the X Division Championship match between Chris Sabin and Austin Aries, there is plenty for hardcore and casual fans to enjoy during this week’s show.

Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Spins on the Wheel of Dixie

Carter has spun her wheel for every other match in this tournament to determine the stipulation, and there is no doubt she will do that once again for the finals. Since TNA made such a big deal about the "Dixieland" match early in the storyline and it hasn’t been used yet, there is little doubt that it will be the caveat for the finals.

What a Dixieland match consists of is anyone’s guess, though.

As long as the stipulation isn’t a reverse battle royal or something horrible as it would have been in the past, this is bound to be an exciting event. This week’s Impact will be the all-important go-home show for next Thursday’s free-per-view, and the expectations are as high as ever.

TNA News: Last week’s Impact ratings climb, according to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc.
