Rivers and the Chargers will attempt to notch a second straight win this week against the Broncos. Last week, the quarterback completed 21-for-28 passes for 249 yards with three touchdowns in a 37-14 win over the Giants.
Facing the division-leading Broncos, winning on the road will be an extremely difficult task. In terms of mustering more pass attempts, however, Rivers should be in position to make a much bigger impact on the game than he did in the Chargers’ Week 14 blowout. Assuming the contest is a shootout, Rivers is a borderline starting option Thursday night.
