Phil Simms Expects the NFL to Change Rules to Deter Low Hits

The NFL has made several rule changes in an effort to deter defensive players from hitting offensive players in the head.

It would now appear that defenders are choosing to hit players around the knees to avoid any fines associated with hitting receivers high. This became evident after T.J. Ward admitted to ESPN.com's Pat McManamon that he hit Rob Gronkowski in the knees on Sunday to avoid a fine.

Will we see even more rule changes to protect receivers in the NFL?
