With many of the big-name free agents already spoken for, MLB’s offseason is reaching a point where needy teams will have little choice but to take chances on bargain players and reclamation projects.
Corey Hart is one such reclamation project. He might, however, prove to be a bargain in the long run.
After not playing at all in 2013 thanks to surgeries on both knees, Hart is in the market for a modest contract to get him back on his feet. Teams just have to consider whether his power potential is worth taking a gamble on his health.
