Philip Rivers threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns as the host Chargers cruised to a win over the helpless Giants.

Keenan Allen hauled in two touchdown passes and Ryan Mathews rushed for 103 yards and a score for the Chargers (6-7), who converted seven of their 10 drives into points. Shareece Wright and Donald Butler each had an interception and Danny Woodhead had a receiving touchdown.

Eli Manning threw for 259 yards and one touchdown but had two interceptions for the Giants (5-8), who were eliminated from playoff contention. Hakeem Nicks finished with 135 receiving yards and Andre Brown added 81 yards on the ground.

The Chargers scored 24 unanswered points in the first half, courtesy of Rivers, who threw two touchdowns to Allen and one to Woodhead. The Giants showed signs of life in the second half after Peyton Hillis scored from a yard out following a fumble by Rivers, but San Diego continued to pour it on.

Mathews rushed for a one-yard touchdown and Novak added two field goals in the second half as the Chargers routed the Giants. San Diego's playoff hopes, while slim, are still alive, but matchups with Denver and Kansas City are looming.
