England are 1-0 down in the Ashes—and, barring a miracle, will be 2-0 down with three matches to play on Monday in Adelaide.
Their bowling has been unable to keep Michael Clarke and his Australia colleagues in check, while their batting has buckled embarrassingly to Mitchell Johnson and friends time and again.
You'd be forgiven for thinking that the mood in the camp is down—but fear not, there's good news!
Stuart Broad has scored a great goal in a football video game.
Perhaps not quite tapping into the gloomy mood of England cricket fans, Broad hit Instagram after Sunday's play to announce that he'd scored a good goal in FIFA 14.
"Been a tough week but Oh My Strike Vs @jimmya9 [James Anderson]", Broad wrote.
And "tremendi," he added in his voiceover.
It's a good hit, we'll give him that.
Broad was 22 not out at stumps in Adelaide, with England having four wickets in hand and needing to survive another 90 overs to rescue a draw. So if tomorrow's Instagram message contains highlights of his match-saving double-century, all will doubtless be forgiven.
