In a sign of where Milan are at the moment, Tuttosport (via Football Italia) report that Milan are set to swoop for Genoa's regista, Francesco Lodi.
Il Secolo XIX (via Football Italia) are instead reporting that Fiorentina will bring the former Catania playmaker to Florence.
The Rossoneri have a similar player to Lodi in Riccardo Montolivo, but he is capable of influencing the game further forward, so it could be a neat idea to swoop for Lodi as a pure regista, who could operate next to Nigel De Jong.
With his struggles at Genoa since his move from Catania, Lodi would certainly welcome such a move, and considering any move would probably involve a loan deal initially, Milan would be keen to see the player in red and black.
Considering Milan's midfield, Lodi would actually have more opportunities to play at the San Siro than the Artemio Franchi, as the Viola have a wealth of midfield option with similar skills to Lodi.
