Emmy Award-winning analyst and NBA legend Charles Barkley decided to do something he’s never done in his illustrious career Thursday—he took the New York City subway.

Barkley, who is working Thursday night's matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and New York Knicks as a commentator, took the NYC subway for the first time in his life to get to the Barclays Center.

Sports Illustrated posted a video to YouTube, which is delightfully awkward:

Some interesting photos of the adventure surfaced as well:

No matter what he’s doing, Chuck always manages to entertain an audience. This random occurrence was no exception.

When riding the NYC subway, you have to be prepared for anything. I doubt many commuters thought they’d be seeing a former NBA MVP.

Keep doing your thing, Sir Charles.
