There’s some decent power to be found on the free-agent market this winter, but only one player who has two 40-home run seasons in the last three.
That would be Curtis Granderson.
Granderson is among a class of power-hitting outfielders that includes Nelson Cruz and Carlos Beltran, and is something of a star attraction after having spent the last four seasons as a member of the New York Yankees. While his ties to draft-pick compensation could make things difficult, Granderson is undeniably one of the market’s top targets.
MLB Lead Writer Zachary D. Rymer is here to dish on Granderson’s free agency, from why he should be paid to why teams should actually be wary of paying him. Also on the docket are Granderson’s projected salary and which teams might be willing to pay it.
