Holmes tweaked his hamstring in practice last week, which had the effect of limiting him to two snaps and zero catches in Sunday's loss to Miami. There hasn't been much word as to whether he's improving, and with the travails of Geno Smith at quarterback, Holmes is little more than waiver bait in standard formats at this point.
Even when he's played, Holmes has only had one truly productive game; he's otherwise been limited by a variety of injuries as well as the inconsistency of Smith. Even if he can return to a full workload in Weeks 15 and 16, the Jets draw the harsh Carolina defense and then the Browns, who will surely use Joe Haden on Holmes if he's active. There's not much upside here.
