Celek was targeted a season-high six times last Sunday, but don't expect that to become a trend. Wideout DeSean Jackson was being covered by all-pro cornerback Patrick Peterson of the Arizona Cardinals, forcing quarterback Nick Foles to look elsewhere.
That will not happen against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, who are strong in the front seven, but weak in the secondary. As a result, Foles should find Jackson and Riley Cooper more often, leaving Celek and fellow tight end Zach Ertz to pick up what's left. The timeshare and lack of consistent productivity makes Celek a poor option at tight end.
