First 2009 American League All-Star ballots was released Wednesday, and from the Mariners, Ichiro Suzuki and Ken Griffey are in top five outfield voting.

Interesting.

Ichiro made the All-Star team eight straight years since coming to the big league and he is going for ninth straight. So far in the season, he has .343 batting average and is on pace for hitting 200+ hits for nine straight years even he missed eight games due to a blood ulcer.

He received 306,453 votes and ranked third behind Boston's Jason Bay and Texas' Josh Hamilton.

Griffey returned to where he started his career this season. He has .218 batting average, 5 homers with 12 RBI, but the fans want to see him play in the All-Star game because this might be his last. He received 305,046 votes and ranked fourth behind his teammate Ichiro.

Stand up, M's fans. Let's start them on the All-Star game!
