2013 Fantasy Football Team Defense Rankings: NFL Week 14

With another exciting week of football under our belts, here are the Lester’s Legends 2013 Week 14 fantasy football team defense rankings.

1. Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens rank 10th in the NFL in total defense with 329 yards allowed per game and seventh in scoring defense with 19.6 points allowed per game. They are tied for fifth with 37 sacks and have 16 takeaways.

The Ravens should dominate at home against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikes have allowed 34 sacks and have 24 turnovers.


2. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks lead the league in total defense (284.5 ypg allowed) and rank second in scoring defense (15.5 ppg allowed). They have 34 sacks and 27 takeaways. The Seahawks just shut down the New Orleans Saints, which makes it easier to trust them against the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners rank 28th with 311 yards per game. They have allowed 30 sacks and have 17 turnovers. Seattle held the 49ers to three points in the first meeting.


3. Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs rank fourth in the league in scoring defense with 17.8 points per game allowed despite their current three-game losing streak. They have 37 sacks and 26 takeaways.

Kansas City should stop the bleeding against the Washington Redskins. The Skins rank 19th in scoring offense with 22.4 points per game. They have allowed 33 sacks and have 20 turnovers.


4. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans rank third in total defense with 303.9 yards per game allowed. They have 28 sacks. The Texans should get right against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jags rank last in total offense (285.6 ypg) and scoring offense (14.5). They have allowed 39 sacks and have committed 20 turnovers.


5. Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos have had some tough matchups recently but get a bit of a break against the Tennessee Titans. The Broncos have 32 sacks and 21 takeaways. The Titans rank 19th in total offense (334.9 ypg) and 21st in scoring offense (22 ppg). Tennessee has been sacked 28 times and has 18 turnovers.


6. Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals rank seventh in total defense (316.3 ypg allowed) and eight in scoring defense (20.6 ppg allowed). They have 34 sacks and have forced 23 turnovers. The Cards face the St. Louis Rams. The Rams rank 25th in total offense (323.6 ypg) and 16th in scoring offense (23.3 ppg). The Rams have allowed 29 sacks and have 15 turnovers.


7. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers rank 13th in total defense (340.5 ypg allowed) and 14th in scoring defense (23.2 ppg allowed). They have 25 sacks and 14 takeaways. The Steelers play the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins rank 26th in total offense (321.9 ypg) and 24th in scoring offense (21 ppg). Miami has allowed a league-high 45 sacks and have 19 turnovers.


8. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots rank 10th in scoring defense with 21.8 points per game allowed. They have 35 sacks and have forced 24 turnovers. They face the Cleveland Browns. The Browns rank 21st in total offense (332.3 ypg) and 28th in scoring offense (19.3 ppg). Cleveland has allowed 42 sacks and has 23 turnovers.


9. Carolina Panthers

The Carolina Panthers rank second in total defense (289.8 ypg allowed) and first in scoring defense (13.1 ppg). They have 39 sacks and 26 turnovers. The Panthers have a tough matchup against the New Orleans Saints, but they are an elite defensive unit.


10. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills aren't great defensively, but they can get after the quarterback. They lead the league with 43 sacks. The Bills have also forced 21 turnovers. They face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs are 31st in total offense (295.3 ypg) and 30th in scoring offense (18.1 ppg). Tampa has allowed 33 sacks and has 14 turnovers.
