According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, Mark Skiba had thoughts about hedging his bet by placing a wager on Florida State, but he decided to let it ride on Auburn.

Now that is a true fan.

Mark Skiba made a $100 bet in January of 2013 that Auburn would win the BCS championship in 2014, via ESPN's Darren Rovell:

The Tigers were listed at 500-to-1 odds after going 3-9, including 0-8 in the SEC, in 2012. Skiba's bet looked crazy at the time, but now it could pay off rather nicely.

Skiba deserves a lot of credit for having confidence in his alma mater.

Hat tip to the Lost Lettermen for the find.
