Ezequiel Lavezzi

    Saturday, December 7

Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi, who has been linked with Tottenham Hotspur, has not denied a move away from PSG.

"A player never knows exactly all these things," Lavezzi said, from La Parisien via Paul Gorst at The Mirror. "But what I can tell you is that I will do everything to change my situation in Paris because I did not give my best shot and I do not want this to continue."

Would Lavezzi work out at Spurs?

No. Tottenham are packed with players in his position on the left: Gylfi Sigurdsson, Nacer Chadli and even Aaron Lennon, normally a right winger, has played as an inverted left winger.

Heurelho Gomes

    Wednesday, December 4

Tottenham Hotspur's Heurelho Gomes (yep, he's still at the club) has accused Spurs management of being unreasonable in refusing to sell him.

"I often tried to leave Tottenham but they have always stopped me going," Gomes said, via Andy Hodgson at The London Evening Standard. "They want to recover the €10 million they invested in me five years ago. It is not possible."

    Gomes has suffered enough.

Let him leave, so he can resurrect his career.

Jermain Defoe

    Monday, December 2

West Ham United are hoping to sign former player Jermain Defoe despite the striker being linked with a lucrative move to MLS team Toronto FC, according to Mark Brus at Sports Direct News.

Targeting Defoe is concurrent with what West Ham vice-chairwoman Karren Brady has said, from The Sun via Sky Sports:

After a chat with David Sullivan today they should also know that he is making plans to ensure we will not be left short up front again. David is looking to add at least one more quality striker in January.

However, can West Ham afford Defoe's wages?

According to football journalist Adam Summerton, Defoe will cost Toronto "£24.7 million in fee and wages."

Giuseppe Rossi

4 of 5

    Monday, December 2

Tottenham Hotspur will make a £30 million bid in the January transfer window for Fiorentina's Giuseppe Rossi next month, according to O Record via ITV.

In Fiorentina's 4-3 win over Verona, Rossi had the pacey Juan Cuadrado, the classy Joaquin going past opposing players and a world-class passer in Borja Valero creating chances.

From a footballing perspective, there is no reason for Rossi to leave Fiorentina.

    Financially, Spurs have the advantage.

Signing Rossi could happen if Andre Villas-Boas is serious about switching to a 4-4-2, which could see a Rossi-Roberto Soldado partnership.

    Monday, December 2

Tottenham Hotspur will revive their interest in Manchester United striker Chicharito, according to Mark Brus at Sports Direct News.

The chances of United letting Chicharito go in the January transfer window to a fellow Premier League competitor are slim.

"He's scored a lot of goals over the last few years and continues to do so, so we'll continue to use him," Manchester United manager David Moyes said, via Sky Sports. "We need Javier Hernandez, he's very good for us."
