Manchester City supporters can have few complaints over their current form as they approach the reopening of the transfer window in January.

A 6-0 triumph over Tottenham was followed by comfortable wins over Viktoria Plzen and Swansea City in the Champions and Premier Leagues respectively over the last few days.

However, there is always room for another addition or two to bolster the squad for the second half of the campaign.

Who is on the way in and out at the Etihad Stadium next month? We will follow all the latest transfer news here.

    Latest update: December 6

Manchester City have been linked with a stunning transfer move for Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, reports James Desborough of the Sunday Express.

According to the report, City will offer £40 million for the Germany international, who could earn £105,000 per week if he moves to the Etihad Stadium. That salary would represent a world-record wage for a goalkeeper.

Neuer, 28, is currently in the middle of a five-year contract with Bayern following his move from Schalke in June 2011.

City manager Manuel Pellegrini is looking for competition for Joe Hart and Costel Pantilimon for the No. 1 jersey at the club.

Real Madrid have re-assessed their valuation on Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero to £60 million, reports Steve Millar of the Daily Star Sunday.

Millar reports that the Bernabeu club have been long-term admirers of the Argentina international and the new value on the forward is almost double the £38 million City paid Atletico Madrid for his services in July 2011.

Aguero has scored 18 goals in 19 matches for Manchester City so far this season, including the opener in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Southampton.

Manchester City will not allow former Napoli forward Stevan Jovetic to return to Serie A on loan, reports Simon Mullock of the Sunday Mirror.

The Montenegro international has found it difficult to break into the first team at the Etihad Stadium this season, with Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Negredo forming such a potent partnership.

Consequently, the 24-year-old has been linked with a short-term move to Roma or Inter Milan, claims the article.

But City are confident that a run of matches for Jovetic can help him settle at the club following his summer transfer, claims Mullock.

Manchester City forward Stevan Jovetic is happy with life at the Etihad Stadium despite not playing regularly since his arrival from Napoli, his agent told Italian newspaper Calciomercato (via Sky Sports).

According to the report, the 24-year-old has been linked with a return to Serie A with Inter Milan and Juventus.

However, Jovetic's representative Fali Ramadani insists the Montenegro international is settled at City:

The only problems he has had are the physical ones.

Now he has fully recovered from his injury and will return next week to train with the team.

Even with coach Pellegrini, everything is okay, there is no problem.

If there should be problems when he is in shape, we'll see what to do. But right now there is absolutely nothing.

Manchester City have joined Arsenal in the race to bring former Chelsea midfielder Lassana Diarra back to the Premier League, reports Ben Jefferson of the Daily Express.

The France international, 28, is currently playing for Lokomotiv Moscow in the Russian top flight after being allowed to leave Anzhi Makhachkala earlier in the season.

According to Jefferson, reports in Russia claim both Arsenal and City have made enquiries about Diarra ahead of the January transfer window, but his wages may prove to be an obstacle.

Stromsgodset insist they have had no contact from Manchester City over a possible move for Stefan Johansen, reports Kent Hedlundh of Sky Sports.

The 22-year-old Norway midielder has also been linked with Roma and Chievo in Serie A, but Stromgodset sports director Jostein Flo has denied any interest from City, according to the report:

Manchester City might keep tabs on him.

They probably think that he is a good footballer, but there is no plan for City to buy him or loan him back to us.

There are two or three European clubs who are seriously interested in Stefan.

I am expecting that something will happen before Christmas. I am expecting that they will show their interest, but I am not certain.

Manuel Pellegrini Insists There Will Be No Manchester City Departures in January

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has laid down the law to potential suitors for his players by declaring that nobody will be leaving the Etihad Stadium next month, reports Stuart Brennan of the Manchester Evening News.

Players such as Joe Hart and Joleon Lescott had been linked with transfers out of the Etihad Stadium, according to Brennan, but the Chilean does not want to lose any player as he prepares for the second half of the season:

There are a lot of rumours that are not true.

The squad we have from the beginning is the squad we need, so it would be very strange that one player can go out in January.

But will Pellegrini's words be enough to stop transfer speculation surrounding the City squad? We are still some way from the close of the January transfer window, and the rumour mill will, undoubtedly, keep turning.

Barcelona have distanced themselves from reports of a move for City striker Sergio Aguero, claims Pete Jenson of the Daily Mail.

According to the report, Spanish newspapers had claimed that the La Liga champions were preparing a £50 million transfer for the Argentina international, who is good friends with Lionel Messi.

But Barcelona vice-president Josep Bartomeu insists the speculation is untrue, as Jenson reported:

No, we have had no contact with him (Aguero).

I can say that the story is untrue.

Representatives for Manchester City defender Micah Richards have approached AC Milan over a potential move, according to Il Giorno newspaper in Italy (via Insidefutbol.com).

The England international has fallen down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium, and has also lost his place in the England squad.

Richards, 25, has made just six appearances under Manuel Pellegrini this season.

However, Dario Canovi, who is an assistant to Richards' agent Alexander Livac, has denied that there has been any approach from Milan, as Marco Jackson of ForzaItalianFootball.com reported.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini insists striker Edin Dzeko will be going nowhere during the January transfer window, reports Gordon Tynan of The Independent.

The Bosnia international has been linked with a move to Premier League leaders Arsenal next month, as John Cross of the Daily Mirror claimed last month.

But Pellegrini will not be allowing Dzeko to leave City next month, as Tynan reported:

I put my trust in him (Dzeko) before the season and I have just as much trust in him now.

It is very important for this club to have a good squad because we have a lot of games to play from now until April and, if we want to win trophies, we need important players.

Maybe at the moment he is not playing as much as he would like, but he remains an important part of the squad.

Dzeko and City defender Aleksandar Kolarov have also been linked with a move to Inter Milan, as Steve Goodman of the Sunday People reported at the weekend.

The Chilean has moved ahead of the Camp Nou club in the chase for the teenager's signature from his old club, and Brahim will travel to Manchester this week, says Jones.

The youngster holds a Spanish passport, but is from Morocco. However, according to the report, Brahim believes he can further his ambitions at Manchester City's academy.

City remained quiet on the signing on Tuesday, reported Paul Handler of the Manchester Evening News.

However, City manager Manuel Pellegrini dismissed suggestions that the Argentina forward could be leaving the club, as Paul Handler of the Manchester Evening News reported.
