Manchester City vs. Swansea City: Score, Grades and Post-Match Reaction

Manchester City continued their dominance at home in the Premier League with a 3-0 win over Swansea City.

While it may not have matched the 6-0 drubbing they handed Tottenham a week ago, the performance at the Etihad Stadium by the Citizens was enough to preserve their perfect home record.

Alvaro Negredo got the scoring started in the eighth minute on a free kick that left Swans keeper Gerhard Tremmel standing still.

Negredo's goal was his seventh in eight games in all competitions for the Citizens, a mark that is quickly making fellow forward Edin Dzeko irrelevant.

The visiting Swans weathered the storm for the rest of the first half and should have equalized in the 45th minute, but Jonathan De Guzman sent a wide-open shot over the bar.

Manuel Pellegrini's Sky Blues extended their lead to two in the 58th minute when Samir Nasri slotted home a shot from close range after avoiding Tremmel with a classy touch.

Nasri added a second in the 77th minute as he put home a brilliant pass from Pablo Zabaleta.

Zabaleta cut through the Swansea defense on the right flank, and his pass perfectly found Nasri, who rolled his shot into the bottom right corner past Tremmel.

With the victory, Manchester City have now earned a perfect 21 points from seven league matches at home.

Key Player Grades

Alvaro Negredo, Forward, Manchester City: A-

Negredo kept his stellar goalscoring form intact by netting the free kick in the eighth minute.

The Spaniard set opposing defenses on fire in the month of November with seven goals in six matches, and with the goal against Swansea, he now has eight in seven matches.

Negredo has become a valuable asset up front as he has started alongside Sergio Aguero in recent weeks, and the pairing has reaped plenty of benefits for City so far.

Gerhard Tremmel, Goalkeeper, Swansea: C-

Gerhard Tremmel's day did not get off to a good start, as he was left frozen by the Negredo free kick.

After conceding just once in the first half, the German's day did not get any better, as he gave up two goals to Nasri in the second half.

In total, Tremmel made four saves, but he was not able to change the match in a positive manner for the visitors.

Samir Nasri, Midfield, Manchester City: A

Nasri dazzled in the second half with his brace for the Citizens.

The two goals boosted the Frenchman's season goal total to five, as he scored twice previously in the Premier League and once in the UEFA Champions League.

The former Arsenal player also had 89 percent pass accuracy in the victory.
