Led by Kevin Martin and his 27 points, the Minnesota Timberwolves (9-9) were able to snap their three-game losing streak with a 112-106 victory over the Dallas Mavericks (10-8) on Saturday night.

Kevin Love chipped in his usual double-double with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Nikola Pekovic had 21 points of his own.

Luc Mbah a Moute, who was recently acquired from the Sacramento Kings in a deal for Derrick Williams, debuted for Minnesota with four points and seven rebounds in 26 minutes. 

The team as a whole shot 50.6 percent from the field and got to the charity stripe 30 times, hitting 21. 

Dirk Nowitzki, who was bloodied after a collision with Ricky Rubio (12 points and seven assists) in the third quarter, had a line of 23 points, five rebounds and six assists. Monta Ellis led the Mavericks in scoring with 26 points on 9-of 15 shooting.

Point guard Jose Calderon did not suit up for the team with a bone bruise on his right ankle.
