McFadden, who played through an injured hamstring, ran for just 13 yards on five carries in Thursday's loss to the Cowboys. He was not targeted in the passing game and ceded most of the touches to Rashad Jennings.
Jennings, who started the game for Oakland, reportedly suffered a concussion in the fourth quarter. If Jennings were forced to miss time, McFadden would be in line for additional carries. The issue for owners is his lack of productivity, particularly his ugly 3.5 YPC mark this season.
