Bell appeared to suffer a concussion in the fourth quarter of Thursday's 22-20 loss to the Ravens. Before leaving the field, the rookie had 16 carries for 73 yards and a touchdown, adding 63 yards receiving on seven catches.
Bell’s 47-yard run midway through the third quarter set up an eight-yard touchdown catch by Emmanuel Sanders to cap the Steelers’ first scoring drive. The rookie, who was due for a lengthy gain after continuing to gain hard-fought yards, had just 23 yards on 10 carries before that breakaway run. With 10 days before his next game, Bell will attempt to pass NFL protocol in advance of Pittsburgh’s showdown with Miami.
