The Pittsburgh Steelers lined up for a 50-yard field-goal attempt midway through the second quarter, already down 7-0 to the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night. Unfortunately for them, they never got the kick off in a bizarre sequence of events.

Here's another look at the gaffe:

It appeared that Sean Suisham started his approach too early, which meant the ball didn't get down in time for him to kick it. Holder Mat McBriar couldn't do much, so he handed the ball to Suisham, who got tackled for a loss.

The blunder turned out to be extremely costly, as it could've been the difference in a 22-20 Steelers loss. Fighting for their playoff lives, Pittsburgh now finds itself 5-7, and with the win, Baltimore currently sits at 6-6.
