Geno Smith: Week 13 Fantasy Outlook

RotoWireContributor November 27, 2013

Despite struggling horrendously over the last four games -- accumulating a grand total of 504 yards, one touchdown (of the rushing variety) and seven interceptions -- Smith is going to start again for the Jets in Week 13 against Miami. MIami's around the middle of the pack, yardage-wise, in pass defense, but the 'Phins do have more interceptions (14) than touchdown passes allowed (12), and it's looking likely that the erratic Smith will have another low-production game.
Of all the quarterbacks starting in Week 13, Smith's got to be in the bottom five at this point as far as guys you actually want to roll out in fantasy. He's in danger of losing his job and needs to show some more positive signs to send a message that the Jets have already found their QB of the future. If he doesn't, it wouldn't be surprising to see New York grab another arm in the draft next year.
