With Chris Ivory's ankle an issue, Powell may be starting for the Jets in Week 13 against Miami. He carried 11 times for 41 yards and caught three balls for 24 yards in Week 12, mostly after Ivory suffered the injury.
Powell has been a competent (if unspectacular) runner when given the opportunity, and if Ivory misses the game and the Jets' defense can keep things close against Miami -- both quite strong possibilities -- he should get 15-20 touches easily, which ought to produce at least a flex-relevant day. The Dolphins' defense is allowing an average of 123.8 yards and a touchdown to running backs per game this season. However, if Ivory plays, Powell's utility will be very limited.
