The Man Who Loves To Fight: What's Next For Finlay?

"My name is Finlay, and I loveto fight." That was the opening to Finlay's theme. Finlay is a one time U.S. champion, he used to train divas, but has returned to wrestling in 2006 wrestling with his 'son' Hornswoggle. His run on smackdown included a feud with Kahli after rescuing hornswoggle in a match, but has since been drafted to ECW as part of the 2008 WWE supplemental Draft.

I like Finlay because he is Irish, as I am. Now I have only been a wrestling fan since between the 2009 Royal Rumble and No Way Out 2009 I saw on ECW the flashback of Jack Swagger attacking Hornswoggle and Finlay beating Jack up, Then becoming the first one to defeat Swagger on ECW. I feel that Finlay should have won the match at No way out, but the WWE decided not to because of the return of Christian. But Finlay has become one of the main event superstars on ECW.

He was part of the elimination chase to become #1 contender for Swagger's ECW Title. In the fatal four way, he pinned Mark Henry, in the Triple Threat match, he pinned Tommy Dreamer, then lost to Christian on WWE Superstars.

Recently, Finlay has been in a feud with Tyson Kidd and David Hart Smith Jr., I found it hilarious when he messed up Zack ryder's hair.

Right now, the big thing on ECW is that Tommy Dreamer is going to retire if he cannot get the ECW championship before his contract expires in June. I find it very Ironic that Dreamer's last shot at the title is at Extreme rules, which is the brand that Dreamer has been loyal to in his career, but does anyone think that Tommy Dreamer is going to win the Title from Christian and Jack Swagger in the hardcore Triple threat match, possibly, but I doubt it.

What is nextfor Finlay? Will he go after the Title himself, or will he continue to feud with the young superstars to give them pushes in their Careers? Only Time will tell.

I think that in the 2010 WWE Draft, Finlay and Hornswoggle should be reunited for a year to make one last hoorah, you know, go after titles, feud with bigger, more known in the WWE. I say the word last, because the man has been wrestling in many leagues since 1974, how much longer can Finlay go? again only time will tell.

As for Hornswoggle, I think he should keep going with his gimmick with gold dust, being under the ring helping him out like with Finlay, but Who knows, the Belfast Brawler may have many more years in him to wrestle in WWE.

Hopefully, Finlay will go after more titles and try to be on more Pay-Per-Views.  I can see it, Finlay becoming intercontinental champ, or to become Mr. Money in the Bank. But for right now Finlay is doing well on his ECW stint.
