Cruz was the goat for the Giants this past Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys, fumbling the ball while attempting to churn up a few extra yards early in the first quarter. That fumble was returned 50 yards for a touchdown and put the Giants in an early 7-0 hole. Cruz was never able to recover, catching just one more pass the rest of the game.
Cruz should bounce back against the Redskins, though. Washington is allowing over 270 passing yards per game, and is second-to-last in the NFL in terms of points allowed. Cruz also torched the Redskins last season to the tune of 19 catches for 234 yards and a touchdown in two contests. As a result, start Cruz with confidence against a porous Washington secondary.
