The Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Pittsburgh Panthers faced off in the semifinals of the Progressive Legends Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Pittsburgh hasn’t played outside of their home at Petersen Events Center this season. But they arrived in Brooklyn and had the upper hand over Texas Tech all night long.
The Pittsburgh Panthers won 76-53 against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The two teams have only ever played each other once before and the record is now Pittsburgh 2-0 over Texas Tech.
Pittsburgh's star of the game was Lamar Patterson, who is led both teams in points scored. Patterson finished the game with 23 points, two rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block.
Jaye Crockett was the bright spot for a struggling Texas Tech. He finished with 19 points, two blocks and seven rebounds.
The biggest lead of the night was a Pittsburgh 28 point lead over Texas Tech.
Pittsburgh looks to continue their winning streak. And on Tuesday night, they look to grab the Progressive Legends Classic Championship against the winner of the Stanford versus Houston matchup.
