Woodhead had six carries for 25 rushing yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win at Kansas City. The former Patriot also recorded four catches on four targets for 45 receiving yards and another score.
Starting running back Ryan Mathews left the game in the third quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return, which opened the door for Woodhead to step into the featured role. In Week 13, Woodhead will likely get his first start of the season in the event Mathews cannot play. The game pits the Chargers against Cincinnati, however, which is anything but an ideal situation for prospective owners.
