Former South Africa international Gulam Bodi has apologised after mocking Jonathan Trott for leaving the Ashes with a stress-related illness.

The 32-year-old England batsman announced earlier on Monday, per BBC Sport, that he was leaving Australia to focus on his recovery from the long-standing condition.

Bodi, who has also played for the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League, took to Twitter to say that Trott should "man up"

The 34-year-old subsequently removed the tweet and apologised for his comments.

The England team have already been very critical of David Warner, who told a press conference after Saturday's third day of the first Test that Trott had "scared eyes."
