Cruz had just two catches for 27 yards against the Cowboys on Sunday, as well as a costly fumble which put the Giants in an early 7-0 hole. He finished the game with just four targets.
On the play in which he fumbled, Cruz was fighting for extra yards through a double-team. As he was heading out of bounds, Orlando Scandrick stripped him, and the ball bounced right into the waiting arms of Jeff Heath, who scampered 50 yards to the end zone. Coach Tom Coughlin felt the officials should have blown the whistle, as Cruz's forward progress had been stopped, but the argument fell on deaf ears. Cruz will look to rebound against the Redskins in Week 13.
