The Broncos fell 34-31 in overtime, but the numbers for Moreno were very impressive as he tried to carry the team on a very windy night. He had 37 carries for 224 yards and a touchdown, putting up 28 fantasy points in ESPN's standard scoring leagues.
The Broncos tweeted out this little note after Moreno had run for 222 yards in the game.
ESPN Stats & Info let us know that Moreno was the first running back for the Broncos to run for at least 200 yards since Clinton Portis did it back in 2003.
For being a rather pass-heavy offense with several running backs, Moreno has still had a very productive season. Heading into Sunday, he had already run for 600 yards and eight touchdowns, adding another 336 yards and a score through the air. This has been a terrific run, as he's scored at least 10 points in seven of his last eight games.
Before this game, Moreno hadn't put up 100 rushing yards in any game, but he has now. The former Georgia running back has turned his career around with Manning playing quarterback, as it has opened up plenty of running lanes for him.
At this point, I really like Moreno as a low-end RB1 and a very solid RB2. He's been one of the most reliable running backs in the NFL, and he's someone you absolutely must start every week.
