With the January transfer window looming on the horizon, there will be a chance for Milan to strengthen their squad in hopes of making another valiant comeback in the second half of the season.

Milan has gotten off to their worst domestic start since the early 1980s, when they were ultimately relegated to the Serie B.

Here are the latest rumors and confirmations regarding the Rossoneri and the winter transfer session:

Goodbye, Adriano Galliani

The legendary Adriano Galliani told the media that he will step down from his position after nearly three decades of being in charge.

Galliani was behind five Milan Champions League titles, and his players have won the Ballon D'Or six different times.

This will dramatically affect Milan's transfer campaign, as his replacement will have the majority of the say in what the club decides to do regarding future buys and sales.

Galliani Declarations to Be Taken with Pinch of Salt

As you can read in the next slide, Adriano Galliani confirmed that Mario Balotelli will stay at Milan.

A quick look at recent history will show that these confirmations do not necessarily hold up. Most notably, Galliani made a similar speech only a few months before Kaka's departure to Real Madrid on the Italian TV station RAI Sport.

A 100% player confirmation coming from his lips usually means that there are teams heavily bidding for the player, so don't be surprised if Super Mario isn't wearing a Rossoneri kit in the near future.

Answering questions before Milan's Champions League match against Celtic, Adriano Galliani said that Mario Balotelli is 101% staying with the club.

Milan fans have heard these assurances throughout the years, most notably when a similar confirmation was given months prior to Kaka departure to Real Madrid.

Do not be surprised if the-not-so-Super Mario departs this January transfer session or next Summer.

Adil Rami and Keisuke Honda Confirmed

Valencia defender Adil Rami and CSKA attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda will be the two reinforcements in January for the Rossoneri.

Rami (pictured above) is a much-needed addition to a decimated back line that just hasn't been good enough. He also has experience playing alongside Philippe Mexes, as the two have started together for the French national team.
