The St. Louis Rams (5-6) stunned the Chicago Bears (6-5) in a hard-fought game that came down to the final quarter, despite the lopsided score.
The Rams running game absolutely devastated the Bears defense. Rookie Zac Stacy finished with 87 rushing yards in the first half but was sidelined in the second half with an injury. Benny Cunningham took over in the second half and pounded away for 109 yards on the ground.
St. Louis' top-three rushers combined for 261 yards on the ground, including a 65-yard touchdown run by Tavon Austin.
While the Chicago offense moved the ball with ease, the St. Louis defense stood strong when it mattered the most.
A goal-line stand in the second half put Chicago in a bad position, and a Robert Quinn fumble recovery for a touchdown put the game out of hand.
The Rams will attempt to keep up the momentum as they travel to San Francisco a week from now to take on the 49ers.
Thank you for following along, and I'll see you next week.
