Sometimes it's just not your day.
Kameron Woods and the Butler Bulldogs were playing the Vanderbilt Commodores on Tuesday. Woods was able to make a great play on a fast break, driving all the way for a big slam dunk.
Only the dunk didn't count.
The ball went almost all the way down the net before somehow being thrown back out. The refs determined that Woods did not score, and while it certainly felt like he did, the refs were correct, according to NCAA rules.
The Bulldogs went on to win 85-77 in overtime, so it didn't keep Butler from winning. Still, it was one of the strangest plays in some time.
(h/t to Yahoo! Sports for finding the missed dunk)
