Griffin will play under the bright lights of Monday Night Football at home against the San Francisco 49ers this week. While the San Francisco defense has not been as ferocious as it was last season, the Niners are still allowing just 17.8 points per game n 2013. That places San Fran fourth in the NFL in points allowed.
The 49ers are also top-10 in pass defense and overall yards surrendered per tilt. Griffin has thrown five touchdowns in his last two games, while going over the 250-yard mark in each of this last three games. However, those outputs came against lackluster defenses in Philly, San Diego and Minnesota. Griffin will have a much harder time finding open receivers against the Niners.
