Oklahoma State 101, Memphis 80

Oklahoma State sophomore Marcus Smart wanted a national stage to display his talents, and he got just that on Tuesday night.

Smart, who has been overshadowed a bit by the star freshmen in college basketball, dropped a career-high 39 points in the Cowboys' blowout win over Memphis.

The sophomore's assault on the Tigers began early on in the first half as he scored 12 of his team's first 14 points.

Smart did not slow down from there as he lit up the visiting Tigers for 26 in the first half.

The sophomore sensation went on to score 13 more points in the second half as the Cowboys cruised to a victory in front of their home fans at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

For Memphis coach Josh Pastner, his record against teams in the AP Top 25 sank to 0-13.
