New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady nearly pulled off another miraculous comeback on Monday night against the Carolina Panthers, with the refs looking like they were going to help Brady make it happen. A flag thrown by a ref in the end zone on the final play of the game seemed like it was going to save the Patriots.

Here's the play:

Here's another look at Carolina's defense on Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski in the end zone:

Brady initially thought the flag would give him one final play to win the game. However, the refs picked the flag up after conferring on the call, and the Panthers walked away with a 24-20 victory.

It didn't end there. Brady followed the refs off the field and had some words for them, and it didn't look like he was holding back despite the cameras around him.
