There are plenty of free agents on the open market who are looking to land their first major payday. There’s one guy, however, who has already earned $145 million via free-agent contracts.
That would be none other than Carlos Beltran.
Beltran has already served out multiyear deals with the New York Mets and St. Louis Cardinals. He now finds himself looking for another multiyear deal, and he certainly has the (regular season and postseason) numbers to justify one.
MLB Lead Writer Zachary D. Rymer is here to dish on Beltran’s free agency, from his projected annual salary to the reasons why teams should be in a hurry to sign him to the reasons why clubs should actually think twice about signing him. He’ll also cover a list of possible suitors for Beltran’s services.
