Detriot Tigers: Rest of the Season Preview

Despite getting of to a relatively slow start, I like the Tigers this year but I don't like the move to get Dontrelle Willis, in the two games he’s started, he has two no decisions and only pitched five innings. He gave up four runs in those five innings and has not been looking like Willis of old.

Even though his injury put him on the DL I think that will slow him down even more. Maybe if pitching Coach Chuck Hernandez will work with him and make him feel a little more welcome in Detroit, then maybe we will see results.

I think that the Tigers getting Miguel Cabrera is even a bigger move then when the Mets got Santana, because now the Tigers have, by far, the greatest lineup in baseball. They have speed, veterans such as Ivan Rodriguez (Pudge), and Edgar Renteria leading the team and maybe the best defense in baseball.

I think Verlander and Bonderman, will both get over 15 wins and who knows, maybe even Kenny Rogers will have a good year, but that is still undecided, with his one and three record and over six ERA.

In conclusion I think the Tigers will make it to the AL champion chip game just because the Red Sox are so dominant but that might go into seven games, maybe I shouldn't get ahead of myself.
