There were some unusual heroes this week. There always are. Let’s take a look at them and see if they are worthy of your fantasy rosters.

Matthew McGloin, QB, Oakland Raiders

Matthew McGloin threw for 197 yards and three touchdowns against the Houston Texans. Good spot start for McGloin, but look elsewhere.

Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Carson Palmer, QB, Arizona Cardinals

Carson Palmer threw for 419 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has a pair of touchdowns in each of his past three games. Palmer isn’t bad for quarterback depth.

Ruling: Get ‘em.

Chris Ogbonnaya, RB, Cleveland Browns

Chris Ogbonnaya ran for 69 yards and added 30 yards on six catches against the Cincinnati Bengals. He’s worth a bench spot.

Ruling: Get ‘em.

Bobby Rainey, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Bobby Rainey ran the ball 30 times for 163 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Atlanta Falcons. He also caught two passes for four yards and another touchdown. Obviously you’ll want to add him.

Ruling: Get ‘em.

Antone Smith, RB, Atlanta Falcons

Antone Smith ran for 88 yards and a touchdown on two carries against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Hold off for now.

Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Jerricho Cotchery, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers

Jerricho Cotchery caught three of five targets for 48 yards and a touchdown. He has five scores in his past three games.

Ruling: Get ‘em.

Marquise Goodwin, WR, Buffalo Bills

Marquise Goodwin caught six of nine targets for 81 yards and a touchdown against the New York Jets. With the Buffalo Bills dealing with injuries at wide receiver, he is a sleeper option, but you should have better choices on your roster already.

Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.

T.J. Graham, WR, Buffalo Bills

T.J. Graham caught two of four targets for 74 yards and a score against the Jets. Look elsewhere.

Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Jarius Wright, WR, Minnesota Vikings

Jarius Wright caught three of four targets for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Seattle Seahawks. He hasn’t done much this season.

Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.

Mychal Rivera, TE, Oakland Raiders

Mychal Rivera caught five of six targets for 54 yards and a touchdown. There are better options out there.

Ruling: Don’t Sweat ‘em.
