Boldin saw a team-high nine targets and caught six passes for 56 yards and a touchdown during Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Saints. This was Boldin's best performance since Week 4, when he caught his last touchdown pass.
With the addition of Mario Manningham and the return of Vernon Davis, Boldin started to see a little more one-on-one coverage and was able to finally take advantage of it. When Michael Crabtree returns, things should open up a whole lot more for Boldin, as defenses will then have four legitimate receiving weapons to cover. That could be as early as next week, when the 49ers face the Redskins on Monday night.
