Knockout Spotlight: Velvet Sky

Christi LottCorrespondent IMay 27, 2009

I've decided to do a feature article on each and every Diva and Knockout. The articles will be coming twice a week and will cover why they're good, etc.

This week's Spotlight is on the other half of The Beautiful People, TNA Knockout Velvet Sky.

Why She's Good:

Look up the word "Knockout" and you're most likely to find her picture. She's a strikingly beautiful woman, as one-half of a group called "The Beautiful People," she fits perfectly. With Angelina Love, she has been able to make a name for herself in the group as true standouts from the crowd. Like Maryse, Velvet uses her mannerisms and character to make matches entertaining.

Why she's Bad:

Velvet's wrestling skills are sub-par at best. She is one of the few on the division that I personally think shouldn't wrestle much, and thankfully she doesn't. If she can take this year to really work at her wrestling, she can be equal to partner Love in being an all-around threat.

What she brings to TNA:

Like her partner: Attitude. Velvet is simply a natural heel, and everything about her comes across effortlessly. For a women's wrestler, that's not an easy thing. Getting fans to cheer you or boo you will only work if you've got the "it", and Velvet definitely has "it."

Stay tuned next week as I take a look at WWE's "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix and Gail Kim.
