The ball sailed over the head of Nicks and out of the end zone Sunday, a familiar and frustrating sight for fantasy owners with Nicks on their squad. He caught four passes for 50 yards against the Packers, but once again failed to score.
The failure of Nicks to score a single touchdown this season is due to a combination of factors. Quarterback Eli Manning is struggling, the Giants are not taking nearly as many shots down the field of late, and Rueben Randle has emerged as a reliable target in the red zone. Nicks has also had several drops. In sum, Nicks is no longer an elite wideout, and could even find his way to the bench on certain deep fantasy rosters.
